I was playing golf with Mick and we were partners in a seniors match at Martin Moor Golf Club. We were all square coming down the 18th and I put my ball in the pond next to the green which had started to dry out and was muddy. I said to Mick I will drop out as I had a shot on the hole. No,, he said get in the pond and hit it out to save the shot. So in I go and with sludge all around me I hit the ball which made the green but left me completely covered in mud which Mick and our opposition thought was hilarious, but at least we halved the match.
